SAFE & JUST RETURN FOR WORKERS WITH FOUNDER OF FAIR FIGHT AND FORMER GA HOUSE MINORITY LEADER STACEY ABRAMS AND RESTAURANT WORKERS.
Former GA House Minority Leader Stacey Abrams will join restaurant workers and advocates for a national online rally to demand racial justice, adequate safety protections, and job security during the pandemic, including benefits, paid sick leave, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
As restaurants across the United States continue to reopen, despite spiking COVID-19 cases, the health and safety of restaurant workers continues to be jeopardized. We will discuss how these issues feed into long-standing racial and economic inequalities restaurant workers face, and the policies necessary to create a more equitable industry.
We will also call for restaurants to adopt a “Right to Return” policy as jobs come back, which would guarantee laid off employees are the first to be rehired.
This event will be free and open to all on our Facebook live, but you can RSVP for the event here.
In solidarity,
